June Club Meeting

The next club meeting is Monday June 11th. It will be held at 153 Loftus St. either unit 101 or 104. Meeting starts at 7:30pm. The competition season is off to a terrific start! Lots to talk about in both the club and the region including the 2018 edition of Slalom @ Slemon. Come join us!

The club already held the first autoslalom event and the driving club is starting next week. Lots to talk about in both the club and the region. Come see what the club is up to in 2018!

February Club Meeting

MMSC Awards and Christmas Party: December 10, 2017

MMSC’s annual Awards and Christmas Party will be held Sunday, December 10th at:

We will start a bit early. Planned schedule:

Cocktails: 4:30pm
Order from menu: 5:30pm
Awards: 5:45pm
Yankee swap: 7:00pm

ARMS Annual General Meeting: November 17-19, 2017

The 2017 ARMS Annual General Meeting will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites in the Truro Power Center, just off Highway 102, Exit 13a, from November 17 to 19.

Banquet: The banquet this year will consist of either Haddock or Chicken breast, a variety of sides and salads, desserts, tea/coffee. This will be a buffet style dinner with the staff helping out. Cost is $35 per person. If you plan on attending, please contact Ian Pearce (igpearce@hotmail.com).

NOTE: Having members participate in the ARMS workshops and AGM is important for a well running region.  To encourage people to attend, MMSC provides a $30 subsidy to any active member of MMSC that attends a workshop or the AGM.

MMSC Annual General Meeting: November 7, 2017

The Moncton Motor Sport Club Inc. will be holding its Annual General Meeting on November 7th, 2017. The meeting will be held at 153 Loftus Street, Moncton. The meeting will be held at 7:30PM.

The quorum for the Annual General Meeting, as required in By-Law item 1.11, is “…not less than two members of the Executive plus twelve active members, present in person or by proxy.”

Please make every effort to attend this meeting. If you are not able to attend please complete the included proxy and send it either to the President at P.O. Box 422, Moncton, N.B., E1C 8L4 or e-mail to mjmccrea@nbnet.nb.ca or send the proxy with a member who will be attending the meeting.

By-Law item 1.13 “Voting by Proxy” says, “A Club member may appoint another active member as a proxy (representative). Such an appointment must be confirmed by a letter addressed to the President and signed by the absent member. The person appointed shall represent no more than two (2) absent active members.”

By-Law item 1.7 states, “The annual meeting of members for the purpose of election of the Executive, the hearing of reports and for such other business as may be brought before the meeting shall be held at such time and place as the Executive may determine, but failing such determination, such meetings shall be held at the Head Office of the Club in the month of November of each year. Notification of such meeting shall be made to all members ten (10) days in advance.”

We will follow our regular meeting Agenda. The recommendations of the Competition Meeting, held Oct 18th, will be ratified under the appropriate competition portion of the agenda. The election of officers will be held under New Business.

October Club Meeting / Competition Meeting: October 18th, 2017

Going to combine the October club meeting with the annual competition meeting.  The competition meeting is where we discuss the current competition year and plan for the next year.  The meeting is open to everyone.  If you have any ideas, suggestions, or comments to make things better at our events, this is the meeting to be at!  The meeting will be held on October 18th at the Gunnebo office, 153 Loftus St.  Meeting starts at 7:30pm.

 

Karting Social #2: October 15, 2017

Everyone had lots of fun at the last karting event so let’s do another one. Event is open to members and friends. Mini Grand Prix is a 10-minute practice/qualifing session and 2 10-minute races. If you have a helmet, eye-protection, that would be good to bring along.
