Autoslalom in October and Competition Meeting

The regional autoslalom season might be over, but MMSC still has two more club autoslaloms in October; October 14 and 21 at the Magic Mountain parking lot.  Both events are Sunday so there will be lots of time for runs.  Schedule for the last two events:

  • Registration/tech opens at 11:00am
  • Driver’s meeting at 12:15pm
  • First car on course at 12:30pm

Tuesday, October 16 is the MMSC competition meeting.  This is the meeting where we discuss the current competition year and plan for the next year.  This meeting (like all our other meetings) is open to everyone.  If you have any ideas, suggestions, or comments to make things better at our events than this is the meeting to be!  It will be held at the Southeast Mutual Insurance Company boardroom.  Meeting starts at 7pm.  Address is:

October Club Meeting

The competition season is in the final stretch with only a few events left to go!  MMSC is hosting the ARMS Annual General Meeting November 23-25 and there’s a lot of work to do.  There’s also the MMSC competition meeting on October 16 where we plan for the 2013 competition year.  Come out and see how the club is doing!

MMSC Hosts Regional Autoslalom: September 30th @ Magic Mountain

MMSC is hosting a regional autoslalom event at the Magic Mountain parking lot, September 30th.  Competitors from across the maritimes will be in Moncton to compete for points in the ARMS Autoslalom Championships.  For additional information on this event, please see the     supplementary regulations.

The schedule is as follows:

Registration: 10:30
Scrutineering: 10:30
Driver’s Meeting: 12:00
First Run: 12:30

ARMS Annual General Meeting, November 23-25

It’s already September!  Have you made plans to attend the ARMS AGM yet?  The ARMS AGM is being held at the Ramada / Crystal Palace Convention Center, November 23-25.  For people that don’t know, this is where the region does all its important “stuff” (e.g. discussions on the region/disciplines, rule changes, schedule for 2013, and all the super important administrative bits).  If you’ve participated or involved in any ARMS events, please plan to attend a workshop (or more)!  Serious stuff aside, we have fun too!  There’s a hospitality suite Friday evening and the awards banquet Saturday evening.  Both are great social events.  Hope to see everyone there (especially if you’re receiving a regional award/trophy… it’s less stuff I have to lug back home afterwards).

All the meetings/workshops are open to everyone.  If you require a room for the AGM, you can reserve a room at a special rate of $132.95/night (tell them you are attending the ARMS AGM when booking).  If you are attending the awards banquet, please book your tickets with Ming (contact information here).  Payment available via Paypal/cash/cheque.  Please let us know if you plan on attending the banquet as soon as possible as the caterer needs numbers to prepare.

Autoslalom in September

MMSC is holding two autoslalom events in September, both at the Magic Mountain parking lot.  Wednesday, September 12 is the last weekday event before we switch to Sundays.  The days are getting short so come early so we can get as many runs in before it gets too dark.  Registration and Tech open around 6:00pm with the first car on course around 6:30-7:00pm.

Sunday, September 30 is a regional event!  The supplementary regulations will be posted soon.  Registration for that event opens at 10:30am, driver’s meeting at 12:00pm, and first car on course at 12:30pm.  The last regional at Magic Mountain was huge!  Looking forward to another great turnout!
