The Moncton Motor Sport Club Inc. sanctioned by Atlantic Region Motor Sports will be hosting a two(2) day regional championship event at the Slemon Park airport in Summerside, Prince Edward island July 30th, 31st, August 1st, 2010. This event will consist of an autoslalom event on Saturday July 31st and a second autoslalom event on Sunday August 1st. Each days autoslalom competition will count as one event towards the overall Atlantic Region Motor Sports AutoSlalom Championship for those participants that are members of a region affiliated club. The site for the event used to be known as CFB Summerside and was made available to the town of Summerside when the base was decommissioned. Since that time the area has been developed as an industrial park and sports facility. Located on site are accommodations for almost 500 people, ranging from dorm style rooms, to private rooms, and housekeeping units, a restaurant, a lounge, and RV parking with water and electrical hookups. Also located on site are an indoor ice arena, and baseball diamonds. In past years anyone using the accommodations on site had access to these facilities.

The actual autoslalom courses will be run on the concrete apron and a portion of an inactive taxi way of the airport located here. During competition at the 2002 CNAC event, the site used an area of approximately 2000'+ X 400'+ giving an average course time of about 100 seconds on both day one and day two's courses.
